Elon Musk Responds to Vandalism Against Tesla Amid Stock Decline

Elon Musk has spoken out against a series of violent attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships, amid a significant drop in the company’s stock price.

Recent weeks have seen a surge in vandalism targeting Tesla properties, coinciding with a sharp decline in the company’s stock value. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, addressed these issues during an interview on ‘Hannity,’ expressing shock at the level of hatred and violence directed at his company. Musk noted, “It’s really come as quite a shock to me that there is this level of real hatred and violence from the left,” although no political affiliations of the alleged perpetrators have been confirmed.

The incidents of vandalism have ranged from keying vehicles in parking lots to more severe acts such as setting cars on fire and shooting at them. A notable attack occurred at a Tesla repair center in Las Vegas, where five vehicles were targeted in what police described as a “targeted attack.” The FBI has suggested that some of these incidents may have the hallmarks of terrorism.

Amid these events, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel humorously addressed the situation on his show, garnering cheers from his audience when discussing Tesla’s stock crash. Kimmel sarcastically urged viewers not to vandalize Tesla vehicles, a comment that drew a sharp rebuke from Musk on social media, who called Kimmel an “unfunny jerk.”

In response to the surge in violence, Attorney General Pam Bondi has labeled the attacks as “domestic terrorism” and confirmed that the Department of Justice is actively pursuing charges against those involved. Some of these charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of five years. Bondi emphasized the commitment to investigating and prosecuting not only the direct perpetrators but also those coordinating and funding such attacks from behind the scenes.
