Elon Musk Faces Escalating Attacks from Liberals and Media

Elon Musk has increasingly become the target of criticism and attacks from liberal politicians and media personalities, focusing on his companies and his role in the Trump administration.

Since taking on a role in the Trump administration aimed at reducing government waste, Elon Musk has faced a barrage of attacks from Democrats and liberal media figures. These attacks have targeted both Musk personally and his companies, Tesla and SpaceX. Democratic politicians and commentators have seized on Tesla’s stock decline and incidents of vandalism against the company’s products and facilities as focal points for their criticism.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a former Democratic vice-presidential candidate, recently admitted to checking Tesla’s stock price daily for a personal ‘boost’, highlighting the company’s struggles. During a public event titled “The People vs Musk,” Walz criticized Musk, calling him an “unelected, South African, nepo-baby” and encouraging Tesla owners to remove the company’s logo from their vehicles.

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has also joined in, making light of Tesla’s stock troubles and the vandalism of its charging stations and vehicles. Kimmel’s sarcastic plea to his audience not to vandalize Tesla vehicles was met with laughter, underscoring the ongoing public and media scrutiny.

The criticism extends beyond entertainment media into political commentary. Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson penned a provocative Substack post titled “Kill Tesla, Save the Country,” portraying Tesla as a financial tool for Musk’s political ambitions. Wilson’s call to ‘attack’ Musk’s perceived vulnerabilities has added to the tension surrounding the entrepreneur.

MSNBC hosts have not shied away from the fray, with personalities like Michael Steele and Symone Sanders-Townsend mocking SpaceX’s recent rocket test failures and questioning Musk’s qualifications and focus. Sanders-Townsend has also criticized Musk’s understanding of U.S. government operations, citing his South African origins.

On “The View,” co-host Joy Behar went as far as to label Musk a ‘foreign agent’ and suggested he was ‘pro-apartheid’, remarks she later walked back due to lack of evidence. The constant barrage from various media platforms has been compounded by public figures like Arizona Senator Mark Kelly and musician Sheryl Crow, who have publicly renounced their Teslas in protest of Musk’s actions and affiliations.

Amid these attacks, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt defended Musk on Fox News, aligning his and President Trump’s efforts with principles of efficiency and accountability. As the controversy continues, Musk remains a polarizing figure, caught in the crosshairs of political and cultural battles.
