Elon Musk to Speak in Wisconsin, Offers Cash Incentives for Voting in Supreme Court Election

Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency, announced he will speak in Wisconsin this weekend and offer cash incentives to encourage voting in the upcoming state Supreme Court election.

Elon Musk, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has announced plans to give a talk in Wisconsin this Sunday night. The event is exclusively for those who have voted in the state’s Supreme Court election, which is set to take place on Tuesday. Musk took to his social media platform X to share the news, stating, “On Sunday night, I will give a talk in Wisconsin. Entrance is limited to those who have voted in the Supreme Court election.”

In an effort to boost voter turnout, Musk has promised to personally hand over two checks of $1 million each to attendees as a token of appreciation for their participation in the election. “This is super important,” he emphasized, highlighting the significance of the upcoming vote.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court election has garnered national attention, as it will determine whether the court remains under liberal control or shifts to a conservative majority. The seat in question is currently held by a retiring liberal justice. The race has become a proxy battle in the nation’s political landscape, with former President Trump’s supporters backing Republican candidate Brad Schimel, while Democrats support Susan Crawford.

Musk’s involvement in the election extends beyond his upcoming talk. His political action committee, America PAC, recently awarded $1 million to a Green Bay man who signed a petition against “activist judges in Wisconsin.” The committee had previously offered $100 to voters who signed its petition, but the $1 million prizes were not mentioned at that time.

Crawford’s campaign has criticized Musk’s $1 million payment, calling it an illegal attempt to influence the court. This criticism comes in light of a pending lawsuit involving Tesla, Musk’s electric car company, which could potentially end up before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

As the election approaches, all eyes are on Wisconsin, where the outcome of this closely watched race could have far-reaching implications for the state’s highest court and the nation’s political landscape.
