Elon Musk's DOGE Team Exposes Alleged Immigration Fraud Under Biden Administration

Elon Musk and the DOGE team have uncovered what they claim is rampant immigration fraud facilitated by policies under the Biden administration.

Elon Musk, alongside Antonio Gracias and the DOGE team, have recently brought to light allegations of widespread immigration fraud and government corruption during the Biden administration. They argue that the current system allows asylum seekers to apply for work authorization just five months after filing their asylum application, not after it is granted, which they say encourages fraudulent applications. This process, they claim, enables inadmissible aliens to gain access to Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, and other benefits, potentially leading to voter fraud.

The team highlighted that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) prioritizes processing employment authorization over asylum adjudication, which can take years. This discrepancy, according to Musk and his team, has led to an influx of applications, overwhelming the system. They pointed out that in fiscal year 2024, approximately 2.1 million new aliens were issued Social Security numbers, a significant increase from previous years.

In response to the growing backlog, the Biden administration extended the automatic extension period for expiring employment authorizations from six to 18 months. Critics, including the DOGE team, argue this move further incentivizes fraudulent applications without proper vetting.

The DOGE team’s investigations also revealed that over 1.3 million aliens were receiving Medicaid, and some were even registered to vote. They propose that Congress should reform the system to ensure work authorization is only granted after asylum is approved, not merely applied for, and suggest implementing anti-fraud measures to reduce the backlog of legitimate asylum applications.

These findings have sparked a debate on the integrity of the U.S. immigration system and the need for legislative action to address these issues, ensuring benefits are allocated appropriately and reducing the potential for fraud.
