Trump's Transparency Outshines Biden at Cabinet Meetings, Report Finds

A recent report highlights a significant difference in media engagement between Presidents Trump and Biden during Cabinet meetings.

According to a report by The Washington Times, President Donald Trump has answered nearly 100 questions from the press during his first three open press Cabinet meetings this year, starkly contrasting with former President Joe Biden’s engagement. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized this disparity as evidence of Trump’s commitment to transparency, stating, “As I’ve said before, and I will say it again today, everybody in this room has access to the most transparent and accessible president in American history.” The report details that Trump fielded about 20 questions in his third Cabinet meeting, after taking 55 in the first and 15 in the second meeting of his new term, totaling around 90 questions. In contrast, Biden answered only five questions across nine Cabinet meetings throughout his term, with each session lasting approximately five minutes. This significant difference underscores the varying approaches to media interaction and accessibility by the two presidents. Leavitt’s comments were made during a press briefing where she also referenced Trump’s first month in office, during which he reportedly took 1,009 questions, seven times more than Biden during a comparable period. The last Cabinet meeting under Biden, which occurred in September after nearly a year, notably featured First Lady Jill Biden leading the meeting, further highlighting the differences in their administrative styles.
