First Batch of RFK Assassination Files Released Under Trump's Directive
The first batch of Robert F. Kennedy assassination files has been released, marking a significant step towards transparency as directed by President Trump.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced the release of the initial set of Robert F. Kennedy assassination files on Friday, fulfilling a promise made by President Trump to declassify documents related to the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy, John F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. The release includes over 10,000 pages of previously unseen documents, which Gabbard described as crucial for understanding the government’s investigation into RFK’s assassination nearly 60 years ago. Gabbard emphasized the ongoing efforts, noting that her team discovered an additional 50,000 pages related to the case, with over 100 people working at the National Archives to prepare for future releases. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. praised the move as a step towards restoring trust in the American government. The release follows Trump’s executive order aimed at declassifying assassination-related files, a commitment he made during his campaign to ensure transparency and allow the American public access to historical truths.
