Bondi Leads New Task Force to Combat Anti-Christian Bias in Federal Government
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi convened a high-profile meeting with Cabinet officials to launch a new interagency task force aimed at eradicating anti-Christian bias within the federal government.
In a significant move to address religious discrimination, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi hosted the inaugural meeting of an interagency task force dedicated to rooting out anti-Christian bias across federal agencies. The gathering included key figures such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, FBI Director Kash Patel, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., signaling the administration’s commitment to tackling this issue head-on.
Bondi emphasized the need for this task force, citing what she described as ‘abuse’ under the previous Biden-led Justice Department. She reiterated President Trump’s stance that the Biden administration had unfairly targeted peaceful Christians while overlooking violent offenses against them. The task force’s formation follows Trump’s executive order in February, aimed at addressing anti-Christian discrimination within government institutions.
During the meeting, Bondi highlighted several actions already taken by the Trump administration, such as dropping three ongoing cases against pro-lifers and redefining the FACE Act to better protect pro-life groups. She stressed that protecting Christians from bias is not about favoritism but upholding constitutional rights, stating, “The First Amendment… guarantees every citizen the right to speak freely, worship freely, and live according to their conscience without government interference.”
The task force also plans to engage directly with individuals affected by anti-Christian sentiment under the previous administration, though this part of the meeting was closed to the press. The initiative has extended to the State Department, where an internal cable was sent to employees encouraging them to report instances of anti-Christian bias.
This development marks a significant step in the Trump administration’s efforts to address what it perceives as systemic bias against Christians within the federal government, aiming to foster a more inclusive environment for religious freedom.
