FBI's Top Priority: $5 Million Bounty on MS-13 Kingpin

The Trump administration has intensified its crackdown on MS-13, offering a $5 million reward for information leading to the capture of the gang’s Honduran leader, Yulan Adonay Archaga Carías.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under President Donald Trump has reaffirmed its commitment to combating the violent activities of MS-13, a gang notorious for its brutality across Central America and the United States. The focus of this intensified effort is Yulan Adonay Archaga Carías, also known by aliases ‘Alexander Mendoza’ and ‘Porky,’ who is currently at the top of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. The 43-year-old is believed to be the kingpin behind the gang’s operations in Honduras, overseeing drug trafficking, gunrunning, money laundering, and orchestrating murders.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi emphasized the urgency of capturing Archaga Carías, stating, “This terrorist leader can no longer be allowed to live free as MS-13’s evil devastates communities in America and throughout the western hemisphere.” The FBI has detailed his alleged role in supporting massive cocaine shipments through Honduras to the U.S. and his involvement in ordering the killings of rival gang members.

FBI Director Kash Patel has vowed to dismantle MS-13, declaring it one of the agency’s highest priorities. “Dismantling and ultimately eliminating MS-13 continues to be one of the FBI’s highest priorities, and we’re not stopping until that mission is complete,” Patel stated, emphasizing the relentless pursuit of Archaga Carías.

This crackdown comes at a time when the gang’s activities have drawn significant attention, especially after the deportation of an alleged MS-13 member, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, suspected of involvement in labor/human trafficking. The gang, primarily Salvadoran but active across Central America and the U.S., has been a major focus of law enforcement efforts, particularly following aggressive actions by El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, who has detained over 80,000 suspected gang members in specialized prisons.

The public is encouraged to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of Archaga Carías, with the substantial reward underscoring the seriousness of the government’s intent to end his reign of terror.
